Our baseline assessment includes our data analytic services and adds an operational component. In addition to analyzing your data, we will assess your operations and processes for inefficiencies. The baseline assessment will then support SMART sustainable goal development that includes an implementation timeline.
Individual Tracking and Assessment
You've heard of fitness tracking, right? Well, we are experts at sustainability tracking. We will equip you with the tools necessary to track your daily habits and, after a period of time, provide specific recommendations and a detailed assessment on the areas of your life that could be improved to have the biggest impact.
Experimental Research
Do you have a research question in mind, but do not have the time or expertise to follow through on its evaluation? Our sustainablists have experience in field and controlled experimentation while adhering to scientific research design. This includes manipulating the appropriate variables in a controlled environment while measuring and comparing changes in other key variables. A final report will be provided and the work may be submitted for publication.
Environmental Impact Assessment
Do you have a specific project or policy in mind, but are not sure if the benefits will exceed the costs? Or, are you worried about unintended environmental consequences? Our environmental impact assessment evaluates a project's financial components while taking into account the appropriate environmental goods and services. A final report will be provided along with recommendations.

Our statistical and data analysis services include examining, cleansing, transforming, and modeling your data. We will provide useful conclusions and, when available, predict future behavior in an easy to digest manner. The results will support decision making and enable sustainable goal development.

Founded in 2016, Earthly Matters Consulting is a group of consultants, scientists, and educators who are driven by the importance of sustainable development. We began simply as a regular gathering of like-minded individuals who shared common beliefs and passions. As we each started to excel in our own area of expertise, we often called on one another for input and insight - and quickly started calling ourselves “sustainablists” akin to conservationists and environmentalists, but...different.Each one of our experts has an advanced degree in the field of sustainable development and collectively we have over 20 years of experience in consulting and advising on sustainable solutions. We have a wide-range of expertise in a variety of fields including (but not limited to): agroecology, renewable energy, urban development, supply chain management, effective policy, and corporate social responsibility.
